My Story

Why did I start this fundraiser? Cancer has had a huge impact on my family, as well as many of yours, I'm sure. Cancer is such an awful disease, and it has been affecting millions of people on a yearly basic, for more than 50 years. There have been multiple family members of mine who have faced the battle of cancer. A couple of them were my Aunt Debi, and my great Uncle Hugh. My Aunt Debi faced lymphatic cancer a couple years ago, but thankfully she fought through the long hard battle, and now is a survivor. My Great Uncle on the other hard, went through a very long and challenging fight of many different cancers. It started out as breast cancer, and then it metastasized to lung cancer, then bone cancer, and eventually to the brain. My Great Uncle Hugh unfortunately passed away this year, because chemotherapy wasn't working at all anymore. He passed away January, 8th 2018. In conclusion, I decided to start this fundraiser in memory my uncle, and all of the other families that also have cancer in their lives.
